True or False: Othello killed Desdemona because he loved her so much. Reasons?

His passionate love turned to passionate hate when he was led to believe that she had betrayed him. In that way his love was responsible for him killing her.

On the other hand one might decide that he loved the idea of love, he loved his ';honor'; more than her. Would someone who truly loved another believe the lies, and even if he did believe them, wouldn't true love prevent murder rather than cause it.True or False: Othello killed Desdemona because he loved her so much.
