It was true, but I believe Dalai Lama has really blown everything way out of proportion. ';Persecution'; is really only publicized internationally, but I tell you in Asia it's not a main focus at all.

Tibetans are a bunch of whiners, that seduced a gullible world with their whining. On top of that, they presented a version of ';buddhism'; which has nothing to do with buddhism. The Dalai Lama has been in exile forever, it seems, because of the Chinese and what they are doing to the people of Tibet. Ever notice one of those bumper stickers that says, ';Free Tibet';? That's what it's all about. China has taken over, and as they are a communist state, and religion is a no-no in communism, the Buddhists and people of every other faith have suffered tremendously.
